HELP & INFORMATION

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before ordering a vintage postcard.

Who are we?

The Old Post is a curated catalog of original vintage European postcards. We collect, scan and list cards from France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe and beyond — each with a clear lot number, date, issuing country and city.

How do I buy a postcard?
  1. Open any card page and press Buy on Delcampe.
  2. You will be redirected to the corresponding Delcampe listing.
  3. Complete checkout directly on Delcampe (they handle payment, payment protection and buyer support).
What payment methods do you accept?

Payments are processed by Delcampe. They accept cards, PayPal, bank transfers and other local methods depending on your country. You choose your preferred option at checkout.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes — most postcards are shipped internationally as registered / tracked mail. Delivery times depend on the destination (usually 7–21 days). Combined shipping is possible if you order multiple cards: message us before paying to calculate a discount.

What is the condition of the postcards?

Each card is original and unused unless stated otherwise. We note creases, edge wear, writing, stamps and postal marks in the description. Images are straight scans (front only unless back is also shown) so you see the real colours and paper texture.

Can I return or exchange an item?

If the postcard arrives damaged or significantly different from the description, contact us within 14 days. We will work with you and Delcampe support for a resolution — usually a return, exchange or partial refund.

How are prices set?

Prices reflect rarity, condition, issuing year, printing technique and demand. Rare 19th-century views and lithographed cards cost more than mid-20th-century printed cards.

How do I contact you?

Use the Contact link in the footer or the contact form on any item page. You can also message us on Telegram @star9robot_bot. We usually answer within a few hours.
